Hello golfers,

 

Midweek Stableford 

On Wednesday we had our first midweek competition of the year, the midweek stableford. With the sun shining many people took advantage of this. Our eventual winner was Euan Macphail with 39 points beating Matthew Roberts and Paul Hemlin on countbacks. Well done Euan and a great start to the season. 

St Georges Day 

This St Georges day we ran a 2 from 4 stableford competition to celebrate the day. And our members didn't disappoint, with 86 being the winning score. This was achieved by 2 teams, however with a back 3 triumph Peter Buckley, Linda Buckley, John Wake and Micheal McEvoy came out on top. Well done and enjoy your amazing new trophy. 

Monthly Medal 

With the course starting to dry out nicely it was time for our first monthly medal of the year. With high winds scoring was hard and this was shown when standard scratch made its way to 74. However this didn't stop Dean Lomas from shooting the low round of the day with a 70, this was closely followed by Doug Burns, Mattie Heels and Alan Heels with 71. May I also add that in Mattie's round he had 3 2's, he would have been in the money if he had entered the 2's sweep, I reckon he may enter the next one.
