Yorkshire vs Durham County match

Saturday we played hosts to Yorkshire vs Durhan county match which saw some of best players in the country and with Number 1 amateur in the world Matt Fitzpatrick playing a key role as County Captain. Matt unfortunately was a non-playing Captain who had to pull out at the last minute with a neck strain. Yorkshire on home turf eased to a 14-4 victory over the day with the lead 4½ - 1½ after the morning foursomes and then winning the afternoon singles 9½ - 2½.

Fulford Golf Club - Thompson Trophy

On Sunday we had many of our Fulford members playing in the York Union Thompson Trophy played here at Fulford. Scoring proved to be difficult with Damon Coulson picking up the win with a well battled score of 74 +2 which was enough to pip Josh Plaxton by 1. The rout didn't stop there; Matt Kelly and Lee Grant were 3rd & 4th respectively with scores of 76. Well done to Damo and team Fulford.
