Club Championship 

The climax to the club championship match play came to an end this weekend with the final being played between James Cass and Jamie Miller. The final was played over 36 holes and after the first 18 they came in for lunch A/S. With the weather being kind on this October day the scoring was set to be good, and as expected the match was extremely close. The eventual winner with a birdie down the last to win just 1 UP was James Cass. Well done James on a great victory and well done to Jamie for a great game of golf.

Wills Trophy Final 

On the Sunday Jamie Miller was back in action in another final, this time he was paired with Ben Plaxton and were playing against the Father and son team of Matthew Kelly and Tom Kelly. Foursomes is one of the toughest formats in golf with both players having to play well in order to win. This one went down the wire again with Jamie and Ben winning on the 19th hole. Great playing by all 4 and well done Jamie and Ben on winning my Wills Scratch Foursomes Trophy 2016.

With the weather set to change over the coming weeks, we advise all members to check the course information line before making your journey to the club. Whilst winter rules are not enforced yet we recommend you familiarise yourself with this automated service. Here you will receive current playing conditions, hole closures and any restrictions to winter wheel and buggies. 

At the moment there are no restrictions but please be advised that the greenstaff are making bunker and tree alterations on the 6th hole, so please be aware of staff working here and please give way where possible so the work can be completed in double quick time without taking up too many days to complete the work.

Winter Is Closing In 

With the start of October upon us the pro shop will now return to winter hours. We will now open at 8.30am on weekdays and close at 6pm. Weekends we will open at 8am and close 6pm. These hours will change when the clocks go back so be aware of this. Also changing this week are the members times, from now until November members times will be up to 9am in the morning followed by 11.30-13.00.
