What a Masters...
Well what a gruelling encounter that was as Ryder Cup team mates Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia lock horns in an epic final day at the Masters. It was Sergio that prevailed victorious, but if ever there was an advert for golf it was that. I almost thought Justin had it in the bag after hole 12, but Dan kept telling me Sergio was still in this and how right he was. Caffeine certainly didn't keep us up, the adrenaline kept us awake, very exciting to watch.

Charlie Triumphs Again
Last week, two of our young guns Charlie Thornton and James Cass competed in an England golf event, the Berkhamsted Trophy held at Berkhamsted Golf Club. With both going in with good form, we were expecting good results. After the first two days, they were both looking good by making the cut. James with rounds of 74 and 72, along with Charlie shooting 71 and 69. The last day was 36 holes, James had himself another two steady rounds to finish 29th, well done James.
However, Charlie was looking for the win, with rounds of 70 and 67 he managed to make his way into a playoff. It only took him one hole to win the playoff and be crowned Berkhamsted Champion. Well done Charlie from all of us here in the pro shop. It's great to see the young lads playing so well after a long winter of practice.
Barry Strikes Again
Our newly retired competition secretary Barry Hughes strikes again with another hole in one on the tenth, six months after getting his first one on the same hole, same red flag position and his same trusty seven wood, well done Barry.

It’s time to consider something different The majority of golfers are switching to Lithium batteries to power their electric trolley because, with a 5-year limited warranty, it provides a reliable and more cost-effective option than a Lead-Acid alternative. Now is the ideal time to swap as we’re offering £25 OFF a Lithium battery when you trade-in your old one. | Click here to find out why it pays to go Lithium |
