Junior Golf Passport Schemed

Do you want your child to give golf a try? If the answer is yes then we have several camps coming up which are designed to introduce golf to Juniors. Teaching them the basics from etiquette on the golf course to full swing. At £50 per junior for six hours of coaching this is a great opportunity to get kids into golf. Please see dates and times below.

Weekend Camp 1 with George

- Friday, 26 May 4pm-5pm (every Friday for the following five weeks).

Weekend Camp 2 with George

- Sunday, 21 May 1pm-3pm - Sunday, 4 June 1pm-2pm (every Sunday for the following three weeks).

Summer Camp 1 with Dan

- Monday, 24 July - Wednesday, 26 July (1pm-3pm each day).

Summer Camp 2 with George

- Wednesday, 2 August - Friday, 4 August (1pm-3pm each day).

Summer Camp 3 with Dan

- Monday,7 August - Wednesday, 9 August (10am-12pm each day).

Summer Camp 4 with George

- Tuesday, 22 August - Thursday, 24 Aaugust (1pm - 3pm each day).

Yorkshire Ladies Amateur Championship

Last week we were honoured with the presence of the Yorkshire ladies for three days. They had their annual Amateur championship, it was a 36 holes stroke play on the Friday was then followed by knockout match play on Saturday and Sunday. In the end, only two were left standing for the final. Malton and Norton's Emma Brown played Selby's Megan Garland. 18 holes could not separate them so they headed down the first extra hole. Where Megan hit one of her best drives of the week onto the first green (323 yards) and two putted for her victory. 

Congratulations Megan on a well-earned title.

On the Sunday, the Yorkshire Ladies also ran a nett competition, 18 holes stroke play. With tough windy conditions, scoring was always going to be hard. However, this did not stop two girls from Fulford shinning. Emma Audsley came in first with a score of 73 to take the clubhouse lead. This lasted until the final group where fellow Fulford member Jodie Himsworth came and posted a 72 to claim victory. This was impressive enough, considering she had to play off a handicap of 10 which is seven shots less than her normal handicap. I am sure she will not be off 17 for much longer. Well done Jodie, perhaps we may have a future Yorkshire ladies Champion in our ranks?
