This week we had our very own Vice Captain, Paul Hemlin taking new steps to help improve his golf with a TPI Screening session with Dan.

Here you can see Paul performing a bridge with leg extension, one part of the 16 part golf screening test. The Bridge w/ Leg Extension Test is a great test for stability in the pelvis/lumbar spine/ core, especially the gluteal muscles. Glutes are the kings when it comes to stability and generating power from the ground up. This test will highlight any inhibition or weakness in the glute max due to over-recruitment of synergistic muscles, such as the hamstrings and lower back.

It's important to understand what your body can physically do before implementing changes to your golf swing, no matter what it may be because you might just find you can't make the simplest of changes.

A screening session normally lasts one hour and will give you a clearer mind set to help improve your golf. See a member of the team for more details.

Members times and pro shop opening hours change

With October well and truly here now, the members times have changed slightly. Instead of 12.00pm - 1.30pm they have changed to 11.30am - 1.00pm. This will stay like this now until the end of October. The morning slot has not changed.

The Professional shop will open October -March - (Monday - Friday from 8.30am and weekends from 8.00am). 

Monthly Medal

The October Monthly Medal was won by Gary Cassidy with a nett 71 wining narrowly on countback to Andy Richardson. Gary’s recent success is influential to him working hard on his game and key lessons with throughout September has led to his latest success, well done Gary!
