4BBB STABLEFORD SATURDAY 12TH July

On Saturday we had a fourball betterball competition played in sunny weather conditions. The winners with a magnificent 45 points were Dave Nunn & Simon Edmondson. Second place with 43 was Steve Strachen & Alan Miles.

Monthly Medal Sunday 13th July

On Sunday with the course softened by the overnight rain we had the Monthly medal. The winner with a Great 67 was Club Captain Tony Hinder. Second place with 68 was Carl Tyrer and third place went to Simon Edmondson fresh off his pairs win the previous day.

Golf Foundation Brooch Medal

Jackie Heels was victorious in this ladies competition with a Nett 74 edging out Elizabeth Burns who had a Nett 75. Evelyn Low took third place with a Nett 76.

CLUB MATCH Vs THE GARRISON

Last week The Captain and Dan had the pleasure of playing against The York Garrison, the oldest fixture in the clubs diary. The Captain and Dan had a great match and were certainly on song, 4 up before the bridge and 2 under gross was always going to be tough for the Colonel and Major to come back from, but a great match, banter and company made for a very enjoyable day. Tony and Dan were very dominant with a 7&5 victory and the team followed the trend with a 6-2 victory, well done to all those who played.

Ganton & Fulford Pro-Am

Dan requires an extra player to tee it up in Yorkshires finest pro-am, the event is over 2 days with the first round being played at Ganton on the 23rd July (0850hrs) and then the following day at Fulford, 24th July (1430hrs).
