On Tuesday 19th December young Charlie Thornton will be playing in Miami at the South Beach National Amateur. With a field of 210 and some of the best amateurs in the world playing, it has been bumped up to the five biggest amateur event in the world. With four rounds over Miami beach golf club and Normandy shores Golf Club, we wish Charlie all the best of luck. Bring that trophy home for Christmas. A cold Winter Foursomes...

Many of you over the weekend braved the sub zero temperatures while the rest of the UK were covered in snow. 20 pairs teed it up in our Winter Foursomes with Shaun Dalby, Adrian Glew tied winners with Dave McCarthy and Alex Simpson on -2 36 points, played over 17 holes. Well done gents.

When the snow hit Fulford...

After a pretty awful week of course conditions, including snow and ice the golf course seems to be back to its best. A big thanks to the greenkeepers who always work hard to keep the course in great condition all year round. You’ve made it abundantly clear…

Each month we run a new poll on our website to get you thinking about your golf game and the hottest topics in golf.

Given the time of year, our latest poll asked you to consider your main golfing goal for 2018 from a choice of four answers. We thought the responses would be fairly similar and for three of the answers it was, but ‘lowering your handicap’ was the standout goal with 69% of you choosing this as your biggest aim for 2018.
