THE MASTERS!!

Saturday saw the club hold it's annual Masters shotgun start with over 184 taking part in the event, so a massive thank you from Andy Curran for making this day successful once again. Andy teamed up with Andy Evens, Dan and myself in the afternoon and as you all may have known scoring proved difficult especially on the back 9. As a team, we managed to soldier up and produce an honourable score of 10 under par. We were then lucky enough to draw Rory Mcillroy out of the hat who shot a 4 under par on round 3 to put us into 3rd place.

Credit must be given to the Team of Evelyn Low, Neil Himsworth, Jodie Himsworth & Kaye Bradley who finished with a great score of 18 under par and drew Geoff Ogilvy out of the hat who kind of let the team down with 1 over par 73. They finished with a combined score 17 under par and winners of The Fulford Masters.

Well done to you all. We are already looking forward to next year!

What a victory it was for Jordan Speith. Many of us probably wanted Jordan to drop a few shots early on and someone from the pack to make a charge but Jordan took the field to storm and from the first tee shot on day one, he didn't look like losing. He looked like holing everything the moment he had a putter in his hand and if you haven't been to Augusta, that is some achievement as the greens have slopes you can't see from the television cameras.
