On Saturday, York's elite golfers came to Fulford for the Thompson Trophy. The course was set up nice and tough for them, despite this our very own Rob Moore was the eventual winner with a great score of 69. Second place went also to a Fulford member in the form of Matthew Heels with a 71. Great scoring lads.

Sunday was the first round of the Presidents Putter, this is a very prestigious event which I'm sure many of our members would love to win. The winner of the 1st round was Ben Plaxton with a great score of 67 (gross 72). Ben has been practicing very hard and it seems to be paying off, keep up the good work Ben. He will take a 2 shot advantage over a number of players who shot 69.

Many of you will have known that our very own Damon Coulson was representing us at the Irish Amateur last week, and it's fair to say he did a great job. In tough conditions he managed to make the cut and play the full 4 days, eventually finishing T35th in a very strong field. Well done Damon and good luck in your next event.
